Several years ago I bought beads with the intention of recreating the rosary from the Arnolfini Wedding as with many of my projects I realized there was a great deal more research to be done to create an accurate piece.
As the years went by I never found the time to do the research and I continued to not have a rosary as an appropriate accessory for my persona. Finally I was inspired by a friend to throw caution to the wind and "Just do it". Below is the result. While not a replica of the Arnolfini piece, it is a lovely strand which Serena will be pleased to wear.

Historical Paternosters and Rosaries

The Gaud beads were received by myself as Largess from an entry into the Festival of the Laurels 2005 - they were made by Mistress Isabetta Giovanna Rucellai and reflect the common practice of using something cherished as elements of the rosary.
